BOOT SHOW 2008
BAUER draws positive conclusions from the BOOT
BAUER Kompressoren GmbH can think back with satisfaction to the 9 days of the BOOT 2008 in Düsseldorf. The world’s largest yacht, motorsport and diving euipment trade fair attracted 279,000 visitors this year. In 2007 there were 273,000 visitors.
There were also peak figures in areas other than visitor numbers: 1,699 exhibitors from 57 countries presented boat premieres, new aquatic sports devices as well as equipment and accessories in 17 exhibition halls across a total exhibition area of 220,000 square metres.
One of the principal visitor magnets this year was once again the BAUER exhibition stand, which similarly witnessed a clear growth in the number of visitors. The trade fair presence this year was held under the motto “Your safety is our concern”. To accompany this, BAUER as global market leader in the area of breathing air compressors presented the RCSI safety concept. The extremely robust RCSI COMPACT safety cell offers perfect protection during fi lling from exploding defective cylinders or the tearing away of fi ll hose connections.
The new Poseidon Edition, which BAUER presented to visitors from the trade for the first time at the BOOT 2008, attracted considerable interest from enthusiastic customers, predominantly distributors and end customers. The new system series optimally supplements the existing product range and offers attractive basic models designed to facilitate access to the tried and tested BAUER family. The Poseidon Edition combines proven BAUER technology with compactness, simple operation, high performance and an optimal price/performance ratio.
Another special highlight on the BAUER stand was the information corner devoted to the subject of the artificial Nienhagen Reef in the Baltic Sea. The research reef of the University of Rostock was created in 1996 and is primarily intended for studies on colonisation ecology. Among other things the reef is to provide evidence that artificial structures can have positive effects on species communities in marine areas. BAUER supports science and has provided the research team with a valuable high pressure compressor to supply breathing air. The information corner which BAUER itself designed with the support of scientists from the University of Rostock granted a unique insight into the Nienhagen Reef Project.
The BAUER trade fair stand at the BOOT 2008 was once again a favoured industry meeting point for all trade visitors. It is therefore no surprise that BAUER and its partners have been able to draw positive conclusions from the BOOT: good discussions, new contacts and the conclusion of numerous business deals characterise memories of the BOOT 2008.
